Heat Transfer using a Heat Press
HTV (heat transfer vinyl)
is a type of vinyl that sticks to fabric and other surfaces when you apply a regulated amount of heat and pressure. After creating your design you use a cutting machine to cut your design out.
Printable HTV
involves using a standard printer to print out the design you created onto special paper and then cutting the design out on a cutting machine, cut with scissors or just press as is to the material.
DTF (direct to film)
is a process that involves printing designs directly onto a special film, which is then transferred onto various materials.
Once I complete a design I upload it to DTF VA, a company based in Yorktown, VA, to print them out and then I press them on the material. I use them for very detailed and intricate designs that just cannot be achieved using the other methods I have access to.
